Job Description
An Ag Business in their search for a Central Supply and Pharmacy Specialist. As a Central Supply and Pharmacy Specialist, you will bring a unique blend of inventory management expertise and apply your knowledge to optimize our supply chain, ensure the availability of critical supplies and medications, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our reproductive health services for breeding services team and clients. You will bring your passion for animal agriculture to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional client experiences and cross functional team support.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels for medical supplies and pharmaceutical products
- Implement and optimize inventory control procedures and management systems
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely product delivery and manage the receiving process
- Monitor expiration dates, rotate stock, and conduct regular inventory audits
- Analyze inventory data to forecast needs and optimize purchasing
- Ensure compliance with regulations for pharmaceutical storage and handling in animal health
- Collaborate with veterinary/breeding services team to forecast inventory needs
- Manage budget and cost control measures related to inventory
- Contribute to order fulfillment by pulling, packing, and shipping supplies
- Maintain proficiency in FedEx and UPS shipping procedures
- Provide frontline client support across multiple communication channels
- Create accurate invoices and process payments efficiently
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for proper handling of temperature-sensitive medications
- Establish and monitor KPIs for inventory turnover and accuracy
- Develop and maintain SOPs for all inventory-related processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and 5+ years’ experience in animal agriculture, sales, supply chain, or client services
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and software systems
- Understanding of animal reproduction, health, nutrition, and pharmaceutical regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Skilled in constructive debate while respecting collective decisions
